Welcome 2011 WOODSTOCK CSA’rs to M’s Organic Sustainable FArm’ Share Program

Firstly, thank you for your support and (for some) continued support!

The Woodstock CSA pickup date has been set for June 15th, noon to 7 p.m. pickup only, . I will be on hand to show you the ropes and greet/meet you, so you will be able to help yourselves later.

Everyone in the state is alittle behind due to weather but we’ll have some great stuff for you! Going forward you will be checking your weekly pickup notes and checking out “What’s in the Bags” at www.msorganicfarm.com. There will often be recipes for you there and you may always email me for ideas. I love that!

Reminding you , no dogs at the farm unless they stay in your car and the speed limit in my driveway is 2mph. Thanks.

Any questions or concerns, please email me and thanks again for your support.
Farmer, M

It’s not me, It’s the Geese!

I was fortunate enough to secure a third planting property close to my main property in Woodstock and was thinking I was ahead of the game, despite the unseasonably cold weather. I felt that way because I had the squash, cabbage, and beats seeded out there by 4/17/11.
Out there being a 5 acre property for a nursery and many forms of wildlife including geese.
No sooner did stuff come up out there, than the geese and their many goslings(Craig counted 60, but there are more) would devour it.
So, we had to invest additional monies and time to put up a 400 square foot fence, in the cold, 35 mph winds and yes, mist. I’m so proud of us. We did it in under 3 hours.
So if squash, cabbage and beets are late.. dont blame me, blame the geese:)
