CSA Week # l8 LAST WEEK, thanks! Eggs yes. Please read directions carefully.

Hello:
It’s been a great year with a few challenges.
I noticed some of you have not been coming to get your vegies. Let me know if there is a problem with which I can help.
Please pay special attention to your directions so that you get all that is due you.
This is your last week. Thank you for your support.
NOTE: Those of you who ordered special produce: Wittmers, Karin and Mr. Glowacki, Cygan……..
Wittmers and Glowacki: you each have (in addition to your normal bags, follow instructions) a bag marked for you on the top shelf of your fridge. Karin: your special order is on the bottom shelf of your fridge. Cygan and Wittmer Mountain Moon orders are on the produce table clearly marked.
I will be watching for you guys tomorrow but honk if you need me.
Instructions for full share:
1. take a bag from the bottom shelf of your fridge
2. Take eggs fro the door of your fridge
3. Take a bag from the Full side of the table opposite the fridge
What’s in the bags:
Superior Potatos
Beaureguard Sweet potatos(don’t worry about the size or how they look, they are delicious)
Garlic with greens
Little Finger Eggplant
Parmex Carrots
Itialian Parsley
Jantar Cilantro
Mixed Greens: Kohlrabi, Southern Collard, Red Russian Kale and Swiss Chard.
Granola
Half share instructions:
1. take a bag from the top shelf of your fridge
2. take a bag from the table opposite your fridge: HALF SHARE SIDE IS MARKED.
3. Take eggs from the bottom shelf of your fridge

CSA North Riverside LAST WEEK, Eggs yes. Thank you for your Support!!

We are wrapping things up here: harvesting, processing, re doing the greenhouse, making potting soil, bringing up weed barrier, trellisis etc and planting onions for overwintering(if it ever dried up)
Thank you for a great season and for supporting this organic/sustainable farmer.
Full share: what’s in the bags :
Doble Superior Potatos
Exotic or Cinnamon Granola(you may freeze if you need to and eat, or make cookies with or sweet rolls too)
Cilantro Pesto(remind me to give this to you)on chicken, fish, pasta, potatos, pizza as a dip or salad dressing)
Eggs
Mixed Greens(see last weeks blog for tons of suggestions)
Malibar Spinach(if you need to freez: rinse, drain, put back in baggy and toss as is into freezer)
Double Parmex Carrots(you can slice and freeze) make sure to use the tops with the parsley I gave you . Put in processor, freeze in chunks for soup later on )
Beaureguard Sweet Potatos(they make look funny, but they are the best. Slice and steam in the microwave and add salt only cuz they are so sweet, or make with mashed potatos or add to soup)
Thyme(will last in a baggy in the fridge a long time or you may dry)
Italian Parsley

CSA Woodstock Week #l7 No eggs next week last week

Again:
Please pay close attention to your instructions. (ESPECIALLY HALF SHARES)Last week some folks, it seems, did not take some bags that were due them . ??
**tHOSE of you who have Sweet potatos, dont worry if they are small or weird shaped. These are the best tasting sweet potatos ever! I have been slicing and steaming the small ones and adding salt only and they were great.
We are trying to wrap things up here, harvesting the last of things. We need to till in order to plant onions for overwintering but, it’s too wet and has been too wet to till:(
Full Share instructions:
1. please take a bag from the TOP SHELF of your fridge
2. Please take a bag from the table opposite your fridge from the FULL SHARE side. It is marked.
ANY QUESTIONS, COME AND GET ME, I MAY BE INSIDE DOING SALSA, GRANOLA, LOTION AND PESTO FOR MARKET.
What is in the bags:
Mixed Greens(see last week for tons of suggestions)
Tomatos
Superior Potatos
Green Peppers(may have a red , yellow or orange there too)
Parmex Carrots(slice and freeze for winter if you want)
Italian Parsley(you can dry and save for winter soups or process in food proccessor and freeze in chunks)
Half share instructions: nothing in the fridge, table only
l.. take a bag from the large table from the side marked HALF SHARE
What is in the bags:
Potatos
Beaureguard Sweet Potatos(look funky or small but taste AWESOME)
Green peppers
Parsley(you can dry and save for winter soups or process in food proccessor and freeze in chunks)
